JOB SUMMARY AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Covers all sales functions in an assigned territory (Mexico)
  • Forecasts, solicits and secures orders from potential and existing customers
  • Provides customer service as required, and prepares periodic reports as required.
  • Provides and searches for new business opportunities.
  • Secures orders from existing and potential customers by means of visiting the customer facility or contacting by phone.
  • Establishes professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel (purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, management, and other key personnel.)
  • Submits weekly activity/call reports concerning customer-related activities for quotes, orders, and problems concerning customer/vendor relationships.
  • Performs all assigned duties in the assigned sales territory.
  • Provides a territory sales forecast on a monthly basis.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS

  • Performs any directly related appropriate duties assigned by the VP of Sales.
  • Performs assigned duties with minimum personal supervision from the VP of Sales.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong written and verbal bilingual communication skills required (English and Spanish)
  • 4-year Scientific or Technical Degree (Engineering, Chemistry)
  • Minimum of 5-10 years outside sales experience
  • Strong interpersonal and persuasive communication skills
  • Willingness to travel (50%)
  • Current following or customer base in the packaging industry preferred
  • Self-motivated/ self-starter
  • Sense of urgency
  • Personable, extroverted personality
  • Strong organizational skills
