Electrochemistry Laboratory Assistant - Zerust - Oil & Gas - Ohio

Northern Technologies International Corporation is seeking a qualified candidate to immediately fill the position Electrochemistry Laboratory Assistant in its Beachwood-Ohio facility.  NTIC specializes in corrosion control solutions, including design and manufacturing of various delivery systems for use in Oil & Gas and Chemical Process Industries.

Job Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will work closely with the laboratory manager and researchers in conducting laboratory and field testing related to corrosion protection product development.  He/she will be responsible for basic lab tasks; sample preparation, testing, record keeping, housekeeping, maintenance, etc., and related office activities, included but not limited to internet/library searches, report writing, etc., plus various tasks as assigned.

Requirements: 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong background in Electrochemistry
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in a related science or engineering field or equivalent job-related experience
  • Experience with typical laboratory equipment and procedures
  • Experience with specialized job-related equipment and instrumentation (potentiostat, environmental chambers, etc.)
  • Experience handling laboratory chemicals, solvents, acids, bases, etc.
  • Strong safety attitude
  • Good organizational skills with a high attention to detail
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office suite programs)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
