Inventory Coordinator/Planner - NaturTec

Purpose

The Inventory Coordinator/Planner (ICP) will assist with day to day operations using the inventory management systems in place.  Manage and maintain reorder point levels for all inventory (both raw materials and finished products) at all locations, and assist with new item/product set up.  Recommend purchases as needed to support ongoing sales and growth projections.  Maintain physical stock integrity and availability through inventory cycle counts for all sites.  Research inventory variances/discrepancies through root cause analysis, and seek assistance on complex problems.  Perform expedite activities to manage and limit backorders, and out of stock situations.

The ICP is responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism, positive attitude, and excellent communication skills while working in a team environment. It is imperative the ICP provides excellent service and accurate information to both our internal and external customers. 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Ensure adequate inventory levels (both RM & FG) at all locations to support current sales trends and growth.
    • Initiate manufacturing orders (MO)/Purchase Orders (PO)/inventory transfers as needed.
  • Prepare sales inventory trends reports and review with Operations manager for inventory planning purposes.
  • Process cycle counts for all sites
    • Reconcile and research differences as needed in a timely manner.
  • Manage open/pending orders.
    • Regular follow up with subcontractors to ensure adherence to production schedules.
    • Coordinate transportation with carriers to ensure timely deliveries.
      • Provide necessary documentation to warehouse(s) and carriers for inbound (import) shipments.
  • Process incoming receipts and processing manufacturing orders (Bill of Materials) in a timely manner.
  • Complete accurate and timely lot fulfillment for outbound warehouse shipments.
  • Have complete and thorough understanding of the Natur-Tec inventory planning and supply chain processes.
  • Displays basic understanding of all Natur-Tec products, pricing, programs, marketing initiatives, and customer needs.
  • Conduct follow up with internal team/external customers as necessary.
  • Participates in a team environment, ensuring proper service to all customers, at all times.
  • Assist AR/AP with vendor payment issues.
  • Work with Customer Service to manage inventory for customer’s orders.
  • Support NTIC’s Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with our QMS Manual and procedures.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Associates degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Must have 3-5 years’ experience in an inventory/materials control experience, preferably with an ERP perpetual inventory system.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Excellent communication skills are required, both written and oral.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong follow-up and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem solving skills.
