Marketing & Communications Specialist, Natur-Tec – Circle Pines, MN

Roles and Responsibilities/Job Purpose

Candidate will work closely with Vice President of Global Market Development, and Director of Business Development for North America for the Natur-Tec business unit. Primary responsibility for this position will be to develop effective and persuasive marketing communication materials that engage clients, business partners, stakeholders and industry associations. Candidate will be responsible for managing activities such as tradeshow planning and support, updates to the website/blog, and advertising/social media campaigns. Candidate will also be expected to assist VP and DoBD in ongoing market and competitive assessment activities.

Skills/Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Proven ability to develop creative and effective marketing and communication materials (brochures, website updates, blogs, articles for magazines, promotional photos/videos, etc.)
  • Ability to organize and coordinate trade shows
  • Good organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with ability to multi-task, adapt to changes in project priorities, and work well within a team environment
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Bachelor’s degree is required (degree in communications is a plus)

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of marketing and project management
  • Experience with technical writing is a plus
  • Need to provide examples to show related experiences

Job Duties

  • Develop and maintain marketing materials, website/blog updates, and coordinate advertising/promotional/social media campaigns
  • Manage logistics for trade shows, conferences, etc.
  • Assist with Marketing and Sales support activities such as market and competitive assessments, customer outreach campaigns, and initial qualification of certain customer inquiries
  • Proactively manage deliverables/work products to meet team goals
  • Some travel within the U.S. to support VP and/or DoBD at tradeshows/industry events
