Job Title: Manufacturing Maintenance Technician – NTIC – Circle Pines, Minnesota

Job Type: Full-time


The Maintenance Manufacturing Technician Runs production in Powder Room, Performs equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

DOING – What you deliver:

  • Support manufacturing operations by familiarity in operation of all machinery.
  • Run equipment in powder room production setting.
  • Monitor equipment and processes to maintain quality and safety.
  • Maintain equipment in a safe, efficient operating condition.
  • Complete scheduled maintenance on packaging equipment.
  • Mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting of packaging equipment.
  • Aid the Facilities/Chemical production Manager/ Supervisor with new equipment installations and modifications.
  • Communicate with Facilities Manager, support operations department heads, and production team members.
  • Able to operate forklifts.
  • Ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot basic electrical circuits and pneumatic schematics.
  • Working knowledge of lockout/tagout programs.

  • 1+ years of related experience in technician field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Basic electrical circuits knowledge
  • Willing to troubleshoot and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems


  • Troubleshooting and repairing basic electrical systems.
  • Trade school diploma in electronic and mechanical disciplines in packaging.
  • Equipment. Experience with Vertical Form Fill and Seal Machines.

Physical Demands:

  • Must pass Fit test and medical evaluation to wear respirator.
  • Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds.
  • Must be able to work “on your feet.”
  • Must be able to endure constant leaning and bending during shift.
  • Airborne particles, Fumes, High places, Moving parts, Muscular strain, Noise, Odors, High temperatures.


  • Every employee is expected to support the NTIC Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with our Quality System Manual and Quality Control Procedures.  This position is responsible to set, follow and maintain the QMS and related Quality Control Procedures.  This position also has change authority in the QMS System.
