Purpose:
To hire an employee in Toluca or Mexico City, Mexico that can fulfill the role of:
- Providing technical support to NTIC customers in Mexico
- Aid in the setting up of local subcontractors producing NTIC products – primarily VCI PE extrusion and RP oil / liquid blending.
- Perform quality control testing (per NTIC’s QC requirements) on NTIC products produced by local subcontractors.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Onsite investigation and process review at customer’s factory to identify potential causes or failures pertaining to corrosion protection.
- Collection of customer samples, chemicals, process fluids, etc. for lab testing and evaluation.
- Conduct lab testing and scientific evaluation of received samples and products at NTIC’s facility.
- Generate lab testing reports providing root cause analysis and recommendations to mitigate the identified issues, and solutions to solve the corrosion concerns utilizing best practice and NTIC products.
- Aid in the qualification and setting up of local subcontractors to produce NTIC products in accordance with NTIC’s quality standards.
- Provide technical support to local subcontractors producing NTIC products.
- Aid in the quality control of NTIC products produced by local subcontractors.
- Any other duties assigned by his/her supervisor
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Education:
- Minimum of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Chemical/Chemistry or Metallurgy
- Work Experience:
- Preferred, 10 years relevant work experience with technical competencies in manufacturing, coating, parts cleaning, machine fabrication sector(s)
- Preferred – work experience in automotive, machining industry, oil & gas, agriculture, and heavy vehicles
- Preferred – experience with parts washing, cleanliness, drying, and over all basic mechanical maintenance
- Preferred experience in supplier quality.
- Expected Skills:
- Experience with manufacturing, particularly metals (fabrication, metal working fluids, basic metallurgy)
- Understanding of shipping, logistics, and packaging design
- Design of Experiment
- Experience with analytical chemistry (FTIR, IC, SEM, and others)
- Good public technical presentations skills
- Excellent bilingual (Spanish and English) written and verbal communication skills
- A general interest in learning and becoming an expert on our products
- Able to work with internal and external customers
- Quality assurance and Quality control with suppliers.
- Independent and self-starter
- Experience in working as part of a team
- Good project management skills
- Ability to manage workflow in the lab, customer support, sales support
- Strong chemistry / physics / materials science skills
- Must be authorized to work in Mexico
- Must be willing to obtain a valid passport to travel within the United States, and Mexico
- Must be able to travel independently up to 50% of the time (Travel can be sporadic and last minute at times)
- Must have the ability to work face-to-face with clients/customers/suppliers on technical issues
